Article 1. The COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION is created to
channel the participation of the civil society in the accusation
processes, as well as investigation and alertness against corruption.
Work results will be delivered to the Legislative and Judicial Function,
as well as to the Organizations of Control, according to the outstanding
legal procedures.
Article 2. The following citizens are assigned Members of
the COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION:
Members nominated by initiative of the President of the Republic:
Dr. Ramiro Larrea Santos
Dr. Medardo Mora Solórzano
Dr. Myriam Garcés Dávila
Eng. Roberto Aspiazu Estrada
Dr. Enrique Galarza Alarcón
Members nominated by initiative of the President of the H. National
Congress:
Dr. Simón Espinoza Cordero
Dr. Xavier Zabala Egas; and,
Dr. Marcelo Merlo Jaramillo
Article 3. The COMMISSION AGAINST CORRUPTION will issue the
internal procedures that regulate its operation and establish the
mechanisms for the fulfillment of its objective, according to the
Constitution and to the Laws of the Republic.
Article 4. The State Ministers and other Executive Power
officers will have to obligatorily provide the COMMISSION AGAINST
CORRUPTION with all information and facilities that should be required
for investigation and corresponding alertness, according to outstanding
legal procedures.
The present Decree will entry in force on this present date, without
prejudice of respective publication in the Official Gazette.
