PREVENTION

The preventive part is one of the fundamental bases of the Anticorruption Commission, taking into account that not only the responsible for corruptive acts should be punished, but also upon preventing such acts it is avoided that the resources of the State would be diverted for personal benefit, prejudicing Ecuadorian people.

Within this area, from January 1998 until March from 1998, it was developed the Citizen Formation Campaign against Corruption, thanks to the disinterested collaboration of the country media. But the preventive part does not remain there. It was created the Civic Net to Fight Corruption in order to have the citizenship be duly organized in each town of Ecuador aimed at avoiding that the State funds would be wasted.
