The C.C.C.C. is a constitutional organization that in representation of the citizenship, is part of the State, but it does not depend on any Governmental Function. The Commissioners are elected by seven electoral colleges that represent the society. These colleges are: the National Universities and Polytechnical Schools Council ; the National Professional Associations; the Social media and the journalists; the National Federations of the Chambers of the Production; the Central Union and Indigenous, Afroecuadorians and Peasants organizations; the National Women and Human Rights organizations, and the Consumers Defense organizations.
